Nostalgia Train - July 24, 2001

Today we visited Cardiff Castle. The inside was so nicely decorated. I couldn’t believe how nice everything looked. The first room we went into, the winter smoking room, was my favorite. It had the signs of the zodiac on the cieling [sic]. Unfortunately, we couldn’t take any pictures. But it was pretty all the same.

In the afternoon, we went to the Museum of Welsh life. That was cool b/c part of the exhibits were outdoors, and it was such a pretty day, that I just stayed outside.

We go home soon, which I’m excited about. I’m having an amazing time, but it gets quite exhausting.

For a good part of tonight was a free night. It was very relaxing and very much needed.

When you go to Europe, it’s great how much you can see and pack in. But, that makes it kind of a working trip than a vacation. Again, vacation = beach. It’s so funny to re-read these entries and see how much I haven’t changed.
