Remakes - why.

Have a costume party if you love the movie so much. It is a pernicious pattern in “Hollywood” that executives seems to believe audiences can’t change or that no one will see new shit like whhaaaaaaat?

I just think it dilutes the story, the narrative, and it’s more fun to imagine on my own what my fave characters are up to.

The Great Gatsby ummm sucks in the first place, so remake that crap all you want. Hard eye roll from me.
Then, the reboots. It’s the same theory - banking on the audience’s nostalgia. I’m plenty nostalgic and sentimental. I rewatch certain movies 8 million times for the comfort they bring. But there’s great writing and actors and stories and screenplays out there.
I hope I don’t sound too crabby 🦀. Hahaha

It’s just….there’s other stories to tell. So tell ‘em!
