HOLY SHIT, WATCH THIS SHOW! YOU’LL HATE EVERYONE, IT’S GREAT. 12/10!

It’s very well done, quite complex beyond the “man cheats on wife” thing. I have lost and regained sympathy for all of the characters all along the way.

My own spouse and I have conversations/check-ins around boundaries, what we consider cheating, and all of that. Marriage is wild. It is an arrangement built on love and mutual respect, for sure, but there’s also living together (what I lovingly call “roommate shit”) and then running a small business together, i.e. running a household, paying bills, saving for stuff.

Plus, it’s quite easy to surmise what one would do in a situation one has not actually faced or experienced yet. The longer I’m married, the more I realize people have their own arrangements and understandings in their own marriage, which is their prerogative.

Anyway, if you are seeking some reasonable trash to watch, The Affair is for you!
