DO YOU REMEMBER DANCING IN SEPTEMBER?!
OK, now that I’m a few months in on this personal website game, a few observations:
Squarespace sucks a little?? I’m not that impressed with the app when I use it. Even the website itself is a little weird and wonky for editing.
That said, I’m sticking with it. I want to figure out a newsletter - have not figured that out just yet. Squarespace’s support/help pages are OK, but whatever.
I’m used to sharing articles and commenting on them, sometimes thoroughly or sometimes sardonically. That worked for Facenuts and I have tried to replicate it here but I don’t really think it’s working.
So, I do want to try to write and probably personal essays, dig up some writing prompts and just fuckin’ write.
With personal essays, though, I know I’ll run the risk of pissing someone off or getting an event wrong. Your memories aren’t purely your own, after all - other people were there.
But, I can’t live my life in fear of making others’ mad. That’s what comes with disagreements, large and small.
I head on vacation with my spouse here soon and will use that time to reconnect together as a couple. It’s been feeling too much like roommates these days and Ummmm, I’d rather live alone so that’s not going to work! (Spouse has been informed of this haha.)
So, happy September, 2021 is disappearing before our very eyes, and get your vax or stay the motherfuck home you selfish, narcissistic ass hole!
