Nostalgia Train - July 13, 2001
We visited Oxford today which was absolutely gorgeous. It is made up of 39 different colleges which are spread out all over the town. I didn’t take too many pictures, but whatever —> don’t want to waste it on stupid crap.
My stupid camera battery went dead today right when we got to Warwick castle; so I was mad that i might not have been able to take any pictures there. But a [sic] purchased a battery at the gift shop. Purchased —> ha, I don’t think I’ve said that ever in my entire life, but by being over here, I’ve practically adapted the accent. I even think in a British accent! Still hasn’t quite hit me that we’re here. However at Warwick it did a little because I had never seen a view quite like that before. Hopefully my pictures will come out ok… I will be extremely disappointed if not.
My roommate from last night is so cool and so nice. Her name is Katie Egan from Shelton. Hopefully we’ll hang out after the trip.
Can’t wait for tomorrow! Off to Scotland.
OH EM GEE.
So, I’m still judicious about picture taking even with the advent of digital cameras. I want to soak in the moment. Plus, I’ve learned that portraits/people are my forte when it comes to photos, and not so much landscapes or buildings. These days, I leave that to my spouse.
And the accent comments ahhhhhhhhh lolllllll. I should b.s. around with a British accent.
