Nostalgia Train - July 19, 2001

Beaumaris Castle was really interesting. Although it was half completed (b/c Edward I had to send/use $ toward efforts in Scotland) I had such a blast checking the place out. It amazes me that the place was left standing. Wales was a bit more interesting than I expected. We then went to some train station with the longest name in the world: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychyrndrobwylllantysiliogggogoch. I cannot pronounce it even if I tried. We shopped there for a bit and I got a necklace and some shot glasses. We then headed for the ferry that would take us to Ireland.

Though really long, the ferry ride was enjoyable. I went outside a few times and it was so gorgeous I cannot even describe it. The water stretched out forever and it was a beautiful sunny day. When we cam to Ireland we soon met up with our homestay familys [sic]. Courtney Jackson, Mike Koolitch (spelling?) and I are staying at a lovely women’s house, Sue. Her daughter, Kate, who is a big psycho was here as well, but she leaves tomorrow. We had an absolutely delicious dinner: pork, parsnips, potatoes, string beans, w/ gravy. Absolute heaven! We tour Dublin tomorrow!

Good night

“A big psycho”. Wow. Just wow.
